Through this book, OSCIP (Civil Society Public Interest Organization) Mestres da Obra tells its story since conception until recent projects, presenting the work made with construction workers, in order to show artistic and creative abilities inside construction sites. They also promote the integration, self confidence and aesthetic sense through music, theater and visual arts.

One of the design requirements of the project Mestres da Obra – The Book was to be a documentary book about the activities promoted by the NGO and also a sort of diary of the creators of Mestres da Obra project. The challenge of mixing these two aspects enabled the graphic project to be developed freely. Through paper textures, adhesive tapes, smudges, and the insertion of post-its, notes and polaroids photography, the book was made of the OSCIP’s memories, giving to the reader all the materiality of a diary, without losing the sobriety of a institutional book.
